Paris Hilton's House Robbed

(image via people)

Paris Hilton's home, in which she has been living a little over a year, was plundered. From the LATimes:

"LAPD detectives were hunting Friday for a thief who made off with an estimated $2 million worth of jewelry after ransacking the Mulholland Estates mansion of socialite Paris Hilton in a brazen overnight burglary.

"In what may be one of the city's highest-dollar home break-ins this year, a security guard called police shortly after 5 a.m. Friday to report a burglary at Hilton's house in a gated community nestled in the hills of Sherman Oaks.

"The guard reported a burglar 'wearing a hooded sweat shirt and gloved' entered the home and 'ransacked her bedroom,' said Los Angeles Police Officer April Harding. LAPD officials said the suspect or suspects snatched jewelry worth around $2 million from the home in the 3300 block of Clarendon Road before fleeing."

As someone who has been robbed, we are never on the side of the thieves. That having been said, it is hard to muster any sympathy for the heir-head. The stupid ass bragged of her opulence -- and in these economic times! -- in the pages of Esquire's current issue, saying, among other things:

"The best thing I've ever bought with money is my house. I call it my Paris Palace. It's beautiful. Every room has beautiful crystal chandeliers and amazing moldings from Italy. When people come over they say, "Hey, this looks just like you."

"Having a nightclub in your house really helps for having a party, because then you don't need to go out."

-- Like that's not going to attract the "America's Most Wanted" crowd.
