McCain At C-PAC

McCain is presently at the Conservative Political Action Conference, C-PAC in Washington, getting lots and lots of standing ovations. Only when the Senator mentioned Immigration -- an issue in which he is moderate -- did he draw catcall. But McCain brushed it off by saying, "and even if we disagree, you won't let me forget it." Rather charming.

As the Democrats embark on protracted trench warfare, McCain looks ... Presidential. Huckabee is clearly in this only for the Vice Presidential slot, so, in effect, the road ahead is clear for him to claim the nomination. Even Rush Limbaugh seems to have given up.

The Democrats need to get their shit together if they are going to go against this formidable opponent who has all but promised to ratchet up the War on Terror, entangling us further in the Middle East, and -- quite possibly -- attack Iran.
