Marc Cuban's World Domination Tour

Once again owned by "The Man" (image via ramdac)

Not happy with being a billionaire, profiled on 60 Minutes, and starting a digital film revolution (see: "Cabaning"), Mark Cuban now owns Dan Rather's Old Media Establishment ass. Rather, you will remember, received his comeuppance (he infamously ousted Walter Cronkite from the anchor job before his time), now moves -- like Koppell, to the cable ghetto. Only, we cannot fail to note, to a seedier neighborhood. (Exaggerated cough suggesting feigned detachment) According to Medialifemagazine:

"HDNet isn't exactly CBS, but for Dan Rather the high-definition channel is now home. Three weeks after the 74-year-old '60 Minutes' correspondent and former news anchor left CBS on rather poor terms, he has signed on for his own show, 'Dan Rather Presents,' to debut in October on HDNet, The Washington Post reports. The channel, available via satellite services DirecTV and Dish, is a property of billionaire Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who is no doubt looking to add prestige and premium content to his network, which already shows a mix of sports, news and entertainment. The chance to do news in what Cuban told the Post is fearless mode should make Rather, who had become increasingly frustrated over his limited role on CBS's '60 Minutes,' quite happy."

And, no doubt, Mark Cuban quite swishy.

We wish Dan Rather the best on being Cuban's bitch.
