The Corsair Speaks!

The Corsair is going to be giving a reading here on Tuesday in NYC at PS. 122. Since we are the shy type, the really really shy type, if we break into a brisk sprint immediately following the talk, don't take it as a sign of our general prickishness. Seriously, folks, we are mortified at the prospect of this reading. So, why would a shy Ugandan-born blogger like myself agree to do such a thing. Silly, because they asked me. Like, duh. Our desire for attention and, what Paper Magazine's Mr. Mickey calls "pub-li-city!" trumps our congenital fear of public speaking every time. Argh, we Gemini's: to have such contradictory psychological drives!

The Corsair will probably conjure up some horribly painful childhood memory, like the cancellation of Eight is Enough, for your amusement as the topic of the reading is "Misunderstanding." Anyway, you are all invited to PS 122 to watch me make a right and proper ass of myself. *Shudders*

Good luck. Writers are supposed to be shy. Just ride the adrenaline high. It works for you to get nervous, if you run with it.
