Reichstag to Tom Cruise: Nein!

According to Ananova, via The Evening Standard, the German parliament nixed his bid to shoot some scenes for Mission Impossible 3 in the Reichstag:

"'The building is not available as a film location and we refuse point blank every request to use it as such,' said a spokesman for Parliament President Wolfgang Thierse.

"'It is about maintaining the dignity of the parliament.'"

Ladies and gentlemen, actual proof: The overcalculated, robot-like actor actually fails (and not in a Cocktail-like cheated on Elizabeth Shue on the islands, and now I gotta fly back to the states to win her heart kind of way).
